Nocona is a rock band who draw their roots from Country, Folk, Punk, Rock and psychedelia. Known for taking the psychedelia of the 13th Floor Elevators and mashing it up with the Bakersfield sound, Roky, Buck, The Blasters, Gun Club, Love, the Burrito Brothers, and a wide eclectic tapestry of Country, Folk, Rock n roll, garage rock and punk. On their previous albums, Nocona and Long Gone Song drew rave reviews and the band has played some of the biggest festivals in America – Outside Lands, Bonnaroo, and Stagecoach. Los Dos, released July 2020, finds the band digging deeper into its bracing melding of hard-edged Americana and a keen punk-bred sensibility. Nocona is currently in the studio working on their fourth album to be released winter 2025. Stay tuned for updates on new music and tour dates!

NOCONA (Los Angeles, CA) wrestles with good and evil in their upcoming single “How Do You Feel” out March 13th.The 4 piece powerhouse offers a dirty roots, barroom, rock and roll gem that features rockabilly legend, Rosie Flores, on electric guitar and vocals.

NOCONA is Chris Isom (vocals and guitar), Adrienne Isom (bass), Matt Brundrett (drums) and Elan Glasser (harmonica). For the past 12 years the band has held down the cowpunk scene in Los Angeles and stood their artistic ground while posted under the alt-country indie-americana canopies. The anticipated single - and forthcoming full-length record (summer 2026), is NOCONA’s first new music since 2020. The music was recorded live with the full band in the studio, their own rhythm section serving as a metronome. Their signature sound has become increasingly brooding while the production clearly shows an evolutionary growth of a band hitting its next peak.

The topical pertinence of “How Do You Feel” is a resonant theme. How do we judge people? How are we judged? Most importantly, how do you feel when you see someone get away with murder? With an artful intellectualism seldom conveyed in popular music, NOCONA turns sharp ideas into great rock n roll songs and you come away feeling like you’ve found something special.
